Michael Myers is back, and he is ready to stalk the streets once more and terrorize the citizens of Haddonfield. As a civilian who knows that Michael is coming, it is up to you to help everyone survive the night.
There's a roster of civilians for you to choose from in Halloween: The Game, with each one possessing different traits that will help keep the various citizens of Haddonfield safe and allow you to take down Michael.
Of course, when there is a choice, you have to ask which of them is the best, and several of these civilians stand out amongst the others as being noticeably better for keeping everyone alive. Do you plan to play as the jock, the witch, or the sole survivor?
10 Annie Brackett
Can Start A Car Quickly
Annie Brackett, unfortunately, has pretty low stats, with her only strong stat being resourcefulness, which helps with her environmental awareness and repairing capabilities.
Annie is low on the list, but she isn't the worst of the civilians: Her mid-range skills are still useful, and she has decent traits. For starters, her Speed Kills trait allows her to start a car without finding the keys, something that is very useful if you plan to escape via car.
She is also great at finding ways out of this nightmare, as she has a 20% increased escape route distance discovery. Finally, her Convincing Plea ability reduces the cop wave timer by 5%. These are all decent abilities that will help any team, but they don't particularly shine brighter than anyone else's abilities.
9 Richard Hawthorne
Drunk and High
Richard Hawthorne is one of the more difficult characters to play, but when you get him down, he is very useful. He has abilities that help him see allies, increase his attack strength, and also slow Michael's stalking ability.
The main issue is that Richard needs to be drunk, high, or both to have these effects applied, making it rather annoying, unless you have already unlocked starting items.
When Richard has these debilitating effects applied to him, he gets a massive 40% damage buff to his melee weapons, which is great if you are going after Michael and need someone with a strong melee game. The only issue is getting to the point where this ability is useful.
8 Bob Simms
Athletic and Capable
Bob Simms is a strong and capable fighter for when you need someone to bring the fight to Michael. With 9 points in capability, he is extremely proficient with melee weapons and throwing items.
Along with this, his 8 in athleticism means that he can run for a while. His traits match his athletic nature, with abilities like Lethal Pitch making his thrown items and weapons deal 10% more damage.
Bob's Heavyweight ability also allows him to avoid getting drunk. When Bob drinks, he doesn't get the full effects of being drunk. On top of this, he doesn't get the impaired movement and other negative effects. He is basically your go-to character for anything to do with melee damage. He's very centered around this approach, though.
7 Jennifer Aarons
Beauty and Brains
Jennifer Aarons has well-rounded stats, but she shines at being both athletic and resourceful. Her high athleticism allows her to outrun Michael with ease, and not get tired as quickly. Along with this, her resourcefulness is great for repairing cars and finding items.
Getting into her traits, Jennifer has the Dreamer ability, which makes residents more difficult to stalk if you successfully interact with them. This is very useful for getting NPC civilians out alive.
Along with this, she has the Ghost ability, which increases the rate at which Stalk degrades by 5% so makes it easier to break free from Michael's gaze. On top of this, she has Survival Rage, increasing her melee damage by 10% when terrified. She is a solid character, but not as good as others on the list.
6 Thomas Armitage
The Lovable Jock
Thomas took all of his points and dumped them into his personality, athleticism, and capability. Because of this, he has a horrible resourcefulness score. On the flipside, he can outrun Michael with ease, convince people to leave, and use melee weapons effectively.
As a character, Thomas is very solid, but his abilities aren't as useful to the team as some others on the list. For instance, his Barricade ability makes it so the doors he locks are 10% tougher to destroy. It's useful, but easily out shined by other traits.
He also has the Running Back trait, which reduces your personal stalk tier when you make physical contact with Michael. Useful for him, but not for the rest of the team. His best perk is Inspiring, which grants bonus health to citizens, but only for those he tells to hide.
5 Rachel Calahan
Voodoo and Magic
Rachel has a good capability score, allowing her to handle herself in a physical altercation. Along with his, her resourcefulness is a solid 8, helping out the team with finding items and repairing vehicles.
Her abilities are pretty decent as well, but are more self-focused than team-focused. Her Full Moon ability causes 40% more damage to Michael's bloodthirst whenever he is damaged or downed, which is great when trying to take out the legendary villain.
Her Aura of Awareness is great, as it increases the Shape Jump prevention radius by 15%. This is very useful if you are grouped up, as Michael can't appear as close. On top of this, Rachel can hear Michael breathing while he is in Shape Jump up to two meters away, allowing the team some precious extra moments to react to his arrival.
4 Alexis Purcell
The Popular Girl
Alexis is the popular girl that everyone loves. She can convince people to do anything, and this shows with her personality trait being a perfect 10. Her athleticism is also high, with her getting a score of 8.
While Alexis's capability and resourcefulness scores aren't the greatest, they are made up for by her traits. For instance, the Popular trait makes it so citizens who are following Alexis take less damage and fight more aggressively while defending her.
Along with this, her Smooth Talker trait makes it easier to get a perfect score when calling the police — a great skill that will help you get the police to your location faster. It is great to have Alexis on your team.
3 Tanya Harrison
From the Music Store
Similar to Alexis, Tanya has a perfect score for her personality, allowing you to interact better with the people around her. Along with this, she has okay scores in her other stats, but where she really shines is her traits.
The Hi-Fi trait allows you to tell where Michael is if he happens to be around the vicinity of any noise maker that you turn on. It is a great way to keep track of the killer as he moves around the map.
Along with this, her Survival Skills trait highlights phones that are within five meters, letting you know their status. Finally, followers of yours have a 10% damage reduction, a real boon for keeping civilians alive.
2 Marcus Navarro
The Lone Wolf
Marcus is an extremely resourceful character, with the stat receiving a perfect 10. He also has a high capability score and decent athleticism, making him a solid pick for his stats alone.
He also has some great skills, with one of the best being his Trespasser skill, which allows you to pick locks with a short hold interaction. This is incredibly useful since there are often many locked doors around the map.
To go along with this trait, he has the Lone Wolf trait, which grants Marcus a massive buff when he is the last civilian left alive. This skill also highlights all the escape routes, gives him less fear, and allows him to talk more smoothly. On top of all of this, Marcus has the Repair Expert trait, affording him a 20% chance of not consuming a repair pack.
1 Laurie Strode
The Survivor
The iconic survivor of the Halloween movie is Laurie Strode, and, unsurprisingly, she is the best civilian character in Halloween: The Game. She has very high stats, with her capability being an 8, personality being a 9, and resourcefulness being a 7.
Her worst stat is athleticism, but that is still a 6, which is decent. To balance her, she only gets two traits instead of the normal three that other civilians get.
The first of these traits is Spatial Awareness, which highlights escape routes within 25 meters whenever Laurie is calm. This is very useful for the entire team. Along with this, she has the Knockout ability, which makes Michael stay down 10% longer — a great ability for those who are attempting to defeat Michael and arrest him.
